DREA & SAM
Honestly, we're just two girls a long way from home trying to get by with a little help from our friends and this blog apparently. Sam, SPARKY, is in Bloomingtom, Indiana for 10 months of the year and Drea, IGOTNOTHING, is in Boston, Mass. for those 10 months but every so often, they find themselves "comfortably" at home in Los Angeles, Ca. We're pretty cool, no lie.

Scott Brown (R) won the Senate seat in the state of MA today.
I didn;t follow the campaign, not many students did.
Most of us couldn't vote.

And Martha Coakley, the Democratic Candidate honestly ran a terrible campaign. She's not personable. She didn't give off the impression of an able political leader.

I don't agree with Republicans so that was enough for me to hope for Coakley's win, but more than that, this election was not about the senate seat.

This election was about healthcare. Coakley's victory would have meant that the healthcare bill would have passed. Scott's win put the count one vote away from passing in the Senate.

Coakley needed to win solely for bill. And now we're fucked, 'cause Brown is the new senator of Mass.

=\

But Nancy Pelosi said in an article I read today that we will have healthcare no matter what...
we can only hope.
