DREA & SAM
Honestly, we're just two girls a long way from home trying to get by with a little help from our friends and this blog apparently. Sam, SPARKY, is in Bloomingtom, Indiana for 10 months of the year and Drea, IGOTNOTHING, is in Boston, Mass. for those 10 months but every so often, they find themselves "comfortably" at home in Los Angeles, Ca. We're pretty cool, no lie.

understand
understand
understand

Case 1.
I consider myself a pretty understanding person, (i know, pretentious much?) so when I don't understand something or someone's behavior, it's like a total mindfuck.

When I say, "I don't understand" or "I just don't get how someone could react this way" or "how someone could behave this way" or "how someone doesn't understand why what they did was wrong..", I don't mean that it's my fault and that its something beyond my comprehension that I need to let go. No, I mean like you need to do some re-evaluating with your life because right now, to me, you're lowkey subhuman. Just saying.

Now, what gives me the right to point fingers? I'm arguably the most immature person on the planet with fucking issues of my own and I'm sure I do things beyond other people's comprehension, as well, but I like to think that I at least contemplate my mistakes. Or that I think about consequences before I go and act like a total child. No?

So there's that understand. The you-really-have-issues-to-the-point-that-i-don't-get-you-no-matter-how-hard-i-try-so-you-need-to-leave kind of not understanding.

Case 2.
And then there's the what-do-you-mean-you-sleep-on-the-street lack of understanding.

With that, it's the kind of thing that being removed from a situation will completely create this emotional bubble in which you are completely oblivious to the terrors of humanity, where it would take being in the situation to understand if even then.

This misunderstanding is what I think leads to a lot of humanitarian efforts. You need to lend a hand & understand. I have no idea where I took that from, but I like it. While i don't think you could ever put yourself in the same situation someone else is in, I do think that you could make the bubble a little thinner.

Basically, you can't fail from trying to understand. In the first case, all you can do is try to work out ways that a situation possibly made sense and the subhumanoid needs to understand as well and when a two-sided understanding happens, that fights stupidity. Not an easy fight and arguably impossible but such is life and we gotta try.

In the second case, trying to understand can only build ties, make the world a better place for you and me, and make it so that one day, I won't have to understand because it'll be gone. Again, kind of impossible, but such is life and we gotta try.

(Btw, loooove that no one reads this. :D haha cause whoever did would probably judge me and then I'd just have to say, "they just don't understandddd.")
