DREA & SAMHonestly, we're just two girls a long way from home trying to get by with a little help from our friends and this blog apparently. Sam, SPARKY, is in Bloomingtom, Indiana for 10 months of the year and Drea, IGOTNOTHING, is in Boston, Mass. for those 10 months but every so often, they find themselves "comfortably" at home in Los Angeles, Ca. We're pretty cool, no lie. |

extra, extra, read all about it. so, everyone hates the media agreed? yet, if we all hate the media, then why do we fling ourselves like sycophantic servants eager to worship whatever breaking-news-extra-tidbit-of info as if it were moses himself come down from the mount? our worship of these headline gods is grossly nauseating. honestly, is it really important or really "news" if we know when britney got her hair cut or what the president thinks of a pop culture figure? anytime something big or "news-worthy" happens, every single network, channel, blog, and network site has something to say. there are interviews and then more interviews and meetings and then more interviews. all accessible to everyone. we gobble it up. what would happen if networks and channels and so on, had to compete to have the only interview? would the media be more educational and informational as it should be? would the quality of broadcasting improve? or would critics and naysayers cry monopoly and tyranny and lies of the media! which is better, potentially despotic control of free speech enterprises or the mass prostitution of information? ...this i do not know. 1:19 PM
